Driving along last week we saw this superb 3-wheeled beauty blasting its way through town.
We like the way the chap driving it is almost lying down – ideal if you’re a slouch at getting out of bed. x
This delightful machine is a Messchersmitt (like the ME109 that the Germans used in WWII (sorry about the spelling!) they were popular in the early ’60’s and supposed to be 2 people cars. The top lifts off like an old fashioned cockpit cover and required the driver to be incredibly agile to get in and out.
The down side was that if you hit anything (including a paper bag) it was a dustpan and brush ending – the up side was you got about 100 miles to the gallon
But I’m sure lots of people have already tole you what it is already
